University of Medical Technology Hosted Clinical Decision Making (CDM) Workshop

This letter is to express our gratitude and thanks to the University of Medical Technology for hosting the four days Clinical Decision Making (CDM) Workshop led by the Professor Dr. Patricia E Sullivan for the education intervention of my PhD project entitled “Improving Clinical Decision Making (CDM) skills of Myanmar Physical Therapists by a Series of Educational Workshop”. The CDM workshop was done very nicely and successfully. I am so proud to say that the participation rate is 100% participation with 34 participants for all day. I believe all participants enjoyed the workshop and I am sure they spent their time for both productive and fun.

Opening ceremongy

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Thaingi Hlaing, Rector of University of Medical Technology, Yangon for her generosity and kindness. Without your amazing support I wouldn’t be here to conduct my research intervention.

And thanks to Dr. Myo Thu Zar Khin, Head of Physiotherapy Department for her kindly supports by letting faculty members to join the workshop.

Demonstrating Therapeutic procedures

In addition, recognition is due to the University event staffs from varieties of departments including finance and student affairs for their superb planning, their enthusiasm and positive spirit helped us to conduct the workshop very smoothly.

Participants enjoying Lunch

And also thank you so much for your hospitality and allowing us to stay in the University guest house for 5 nights. We had a wonderful time there as we could save our time to travel from University to down town every days, and saved our energies as well, so we could spice up the participants with full energy in the workshop. You made us feel like family the entire time we were there.

Another thanks message is for the delightful dinner party at Western Park Royal on 12th March. I believe Prof; Pat had a wonderful time getting to know each other and having a chance to know what’s happening in the Physical Therapy professional in Myanmar. Thanks to both of Dr. Thaingi and Dr. Myo for explaining the current situations of professional here.

At the end of the four days workshop, I have collected comments and suggestions on the evaluations and I assure you that each will be given consideration so that future workshops will be even more of a success.

Sincerely,

Phyu Hnin Hlaing,

PhD candidate, Faculty of Physical Therapy, Mahidol University, Thailand.
